Student Advising Services
Academic Advising in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters fosters relationships with students through collaborative learning that promotes student accountability for achieving their academic, personal, and professional goals. In partnership with the University community, academic advising supports a holistic college experience that encourages timely graduation and prepares students to be productive in both the workplace and society.
The College of Arts and Letters Student Advising Service (SAS) advising team would like to welcome you to the college. We want to provide you with updates about how our office will function for the upcoming term:
1) Students are encouraged to continue utilizing virtual platforms (MS Teams, Google Meets, etc.) to meet with their advisor. Meeting with an advisor in a virtual platform allows for added safety measures, heightened security of information sharing, and can also eliminate challenges with commuting to the FAU campuses. In-person advising will also be available via appointments only. If students are exhibiting flu or COVID-19 like symptoms please email your advisor to meet virtually. Safety measures will be taken as necessary.
2) We will be offering our virtual chat in lieu of in-person drop in meetings (non-scheduled) on Thursdays from 9 AM-12 PM, 1 PM- 4 PM.
